Curing unfiled tax returns and past due tax returns are an important and necessary element of a successful outcome for our clients.  The IRS always requires that all past due tax returns be filed before it will consider accepting of an Offer in Compromise, or an Installment Agreement.  In fact, the first thing that a Revenue Officer will do is to check to see if you have filed all of your prior returns as well as your current year tax returns.
